Goals, Dreams & Doing the Work Anyway

Goals, Dreams & Doing the Work Anyway

There’s a version of you that God already sees.
Stronger. Braver. More disciplined. More fulfilled.
The hardest part of life isn’t dreaming about that person — it’s becoming them.

For a long time, I thought wanting more was enough.
More income. More freedom. More peace. More confidence.
But wanting isn’t the same as working, and praying without action will keep you stuck in the same place year after year.

This lesson took me a long time to learn — probably one of the longest lessons of my life.

Dreams Require Discipline

God gives us vision, but He also expects responsibility.

There were seasons where I prayed for change but avoided discomfort. I wanted a better life without changing my habits. I wanted blessings without discipline. I wanted growth without sacrifice.

And life doesn’t work like that.

At some point, I had to realize:
If I truly wanted the income I dreamed of, the life I prayed for, and the confidence I admired in others — I had to show up differently. Even on the days I didn’t feel like it. Especially on the days it felt pointless.

Becoming Who You’re Meant to Be Isn’t Easy — But It’s Worth It

Putting in the work isn’t glamorous.

It’s consistency when no one is clapping.
It’s learning when you feel behind.
It’s pushing when fear tells you to stop.
It’s doing the hard thing again even when yesterday didn’t give you results.

But something beautiful happens when you refuse to quit.

You start to respect yourself.
You start to trust yourself.
You start becoming someone you’re proud of.

And that feeling?
That’s priceless.

God Honors Effort, Not Perfection

One of the most freeing realizations I’ve had is this:
God doesn’t expect perfection — He honors effort, obedience, and growth.

When you do all you can with what you’ve been given, when you keep going even when it’s hard, when you choose discipline over excuses — that’s faith in action.

And there is nothing more rewarding than knowing:
You didn’t give up on yourself.
You didn’t ignore your calling.
You didn’t waste the potential God placed inside you.

This Is One of the Greatest Life Lessons I’ve Learned

Doing everything you can to become who you want to be — and who God created you to be — is one of the most loved and valuable lessons of my life.

Not because it was easy.
But because it changed everything.

Your goals matter.
Your dreams matter.
Your effort matters.

And when you can look back and say “I gave it everything I had” — that pride, that peace, and that growth are worth more than anything else.

Keep going.
Keep showing up.
God’s already proud of you for trying.
